brandy alexander.

when you have burdens that weigh a ton of torment, are you able to transfer this into an abundant life of happiness? depression is mental. everything is. your MENTAL is what is disturbed when hurt by certain things which causes you to come out different than the way you went in. the hardest part of it is remembering who you were before the damage was done. that is what links you back to being sane. back to being the "same". depression is a one-way focus on negativity. focusing on positive attributes about yourself is a way to surpass this mountain of tribulation. a depressed soul is a soul that is just striving for happiness but doesn't know exactly how to get there.

no lies. i didnt know if this one would be as good as the first. i didnt think anything could possibly top the first one actually. but i was wrong. "A Party Part II" is now the 2nd greatest party experience for me yet. there needs to be an environment like this open every weekend..but the overdose might not be a good thing. so now we will just wait til we get a tweet about Part III. this was Lesa's first time attending and it was everything i explained and everything she expected. every song Solange played enhanced the inspiration. she cussed the dance floor out n told everyone to get on the floor n explained how the party is for "real music lovers"..also to stop texting and tweeting n just enjoy the night. with that, we got down to the nitty-gritty of who belonged and the night excelled from there. herbal courage makes it unreal. i never knew how much i go in for Solange...

o⋅rig⋅i⋅nal [adj] - arising or proceeding independently of anything else: an original view of history

its almost 2010. none of us are original. the years of originality are far behind us and we dont even know exactly when it started. now, we recycle and reuse things that we have seen n call it our "own". we may add a little of our own character to it but it is still not new, innovative, or "original". we have to remember that it all started somewhere but not with us. it kind of bothers me that we are ok with this. we are ok with just following trends and doing what everyone else is doing. sometimes not being ourselves and trying to be who we see on tv or our peers. whether it is our style of dress, our attitudes, or the way we talk. how hard is it to be REAL and be who you really are? that to me will bring originality back because no one person is exactly like another. i too am a victim of following at times. we all are. now thats real.

the realist.

this past weekend Solange Knowles hosted a party/social/mixer in Houston. it was a "secret" party with a disco theme and upon entry you had to give a secret password which was "Rock, Paper, Scissors". she entered and went straight to the dj booth and played everything from DeAngelo, Lykke Li, Bone Thugs, Santigold, and Reggae. she snapped pictures of us with a Polaroid camera as she thanked us all for coming. there was no "plex" in the room. just everybody feeling good and enjoying themselves. the bar was serving all kinds of liquid courage. it was just a "feel-good" experience. it definately made me not want to go to regular clubs anymore. i have always wanted to go to a New York style party. she said another one will be coming soon..MAYBE she can make that happen on my birthday (December 27th)...thatd take life to the next level lol definately one of the most memorable days ever dooder.

another discussion was brought to the plate about fulfilling our destiny in life. we mainly touched this subject with a career aspect. as plain as i can put it is..if you have wanted to be a graphic designer (for example) your whole life, if that is what makes you happy, and that is what you wont mind waking up for, for the rest of your life. PURSUE IT. dont be an engineer just because your good in math and you know you can make a great deal of money. would you rather be rich and hate going to work every morning? or would you want to do something you love and live comfortably? simply follow your heart. God will guide the both of you in the right direction. when your doing something you like, the money will come because you wont mind grinding for it. "im just sayin......"
